These pages show you how I installed the Mercedes M180 II (180.921) 2,2l six cylinder engine with all its auxiliary equipment into the chassis. My experiences and images from the process can be seen in the sub articles, under:

  • Installation of engine
  • Carburetor, fuel pump and air filter (also includes the choke!)
  • Intake pipe, exhaust manifold
  • Electrical equipment, engine
  • Engine cooling
  • Engine suspension

As always I followed the workshop manual, the articles mainly showings "only" the steps on a general level, and/or where I had problems or where I think my ideas and pictures can be of any help to others. For detailed information, I refer you to Mercedes' workshop manuals.
